Title: ICT Ireland Champions Programme

The Champions Programme has been developed in an effort to promote the uptake of IT related courses at third level and ICT as a career choice. This is a national initiative in association with bodies such as the Institute of Engineers, Women in Technology, Atlantic Technology Corridor, Cork Electronics Industry Association, Shannonsoft, and the IT Association in Galway.

We have put together a team of people in ICT organisations nationwide, to address students in secondary schools nation-wide to profile their careers in the ICT industry. These 'Champions' are young and dynamic, both male and female, and working primarily in technology roles.

The target audience will be from post-junior certificate level.

For more information on this programme, please contact Aoife O'Brien, email: firstname.lastname@ictireland.ie or view the list of participating companies from the list below.

****ICT Ireland and STEPS to engineering are delighted to offer volunteers a free half-day workshop with a half-day CPD credits on presenting engineering and technology to students. If you are interested in getting involved please sign up for the Engineering and Technology champions presentation skills workshops in Cork (28th Aug), Dublin (30 and 31st Aug) or Galway (2nd October).

Workshops will take place in the morning and afternoon in all venues and lunch will be provided free of charge. There will also be a keynote speaker speaking of their successes in the ICT industry.
