European Social Partners

Social Partner organisations exist at European level and bring together similar national organisations from throughout the EU. The main organisations are BUSINESSEUROPE, representing businesses and employers, ETUC, representing trade unions, CEEP, representing public sector employers and UEAPME, representing small and medium sized companies.

The European Social Partners will often be asked their opinion by institutions developing policy proposals and in some cases they must be consulted by the European Commission - a process called European Social Dialogue.
